Discovering Baeth Davis.

July 21st, 2010 · No Comments

I have discovered a very inspirational teacher this week and here is in short what I have learned from her so far.

She is a palm reader that reads the palm of your hands to tell you what your life purpose is.

And she even calls it money in your hands because the real wealth that all of us aspire to have comes from  living our life’s purpose by sharing our unique gifts with the world.

She says that if we struggle with making money or we make money doing something that we don’t love, we are really doing ourselves and the planet a disservice. She mentions that we are basically berrying our gifts in the ground and what a sad thing to do!

Those words brought tears to my eyes because they resonate so deep within me.

She says we all come here with a purpose and we either live in support of it or we fight and resist it.

Baeth mentions that our life’s purpose is something that is outlined on our finger tips right a embryo time and those lines don’t change.

The only lines that do change are the ones in the palm of our hands. These reveal many things about ourselves in terms of our life’s lessons, our struggles, our weaknesses and our strengths. But fascinatingly enough, these can change if we are willing to let go and heal.

Something unique about Beath is that she doesn’t predict our future and I love that!

She mentions that doing so would be a disservice to the client as well as the reader. I guess in doing so, she would not be helping us move into an empowering position in our life.

Baeth points out that having your hands read in the way that she does is really for people who are prepared to do what it takes to fulfill their purpose. She says it takes courage, a willingness to be vulnerable and a real commitment.

She mentions that when we build a business that is fueled by our life purpose, not only can we build a profitable business but we are also in the perfect position to thrive as a spiritual being. And this as a whole is what makes us healthy and wealthy. Instead of having one or the other meaning having a successful business at the cost of what you really value or being a spiritual person at the cost of making money, you can have both and have them be in alignment and harmony with one another without excluding each other.

Apparently the problem is not so much that we can’t figure out what our life’s purpose is but instead, that we intentionally create drama in our life to keep us disconnected from it.

So true, isn’t it?

There is so much more to learn from Baeth but I will keep this as an introduction for now and I will share even more with you as I discover and learn more from the many valuable gifts that she offers.

You can sign up for her newsletter and join her monthly calls if you like. She also offers several other ways to benefit from her many gifts.

Thanks to Baeth, she has put into words some of my deepest struggles which gives me hope for what is possible!

The Body ecology diet can help cure kids with autism

July 15th, 2010 · 2 Comments

Here is the recording of a beautiful and inspiring story about Gina Laverde and her son named Dougie where Gina shares with us how she has helped cure her son of autism.

Even though I don’t have any kids, I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this interview because there is so much to learn from it.

When we are on a journey to heal ourselves, we often get caught in trusting our perceptions as oppose to what we know deep within ourselves.

It is what we know that keeps us grounded and on track and it is so easy to get lost and off track trusting our thoughts, feelings and perceptions.

We get off track expecting quick fixes and cures as oppose to being sensitive and aware of all the subtle changes that can take place as we attempt to heal ourselves and our loved ones.

Gina’s journey is a perfect example of this. She responded to the subtle changes in her son and marveled at  them no matter how tiny they were.

It is beautiful to see that as she took care of her son, her whole family learned to better care for themselves in the process.

I am also a fan of The Body Ecology Diet and I marveled at the results Gina witnessed from feeding her son one tiny spoonful at a time of her homemade cultured vegetables.

Most of all, I love how it has changed things around for her and her family. She has a business doing what she loves and she seems to be absolutely natural at giving!

I sensed a genuine love and desire in Gina to share and help others and I find that to be VERY inspiring

Thank you Gina!

Inspiring notes and quotes from: “Feel the fear and do it anyway” by Susan Jeffers

July 13th, 2010 · No Comments

Even if your life looks the same on the outside, it really is your own internal peace and growth that determines where you really are.

“The way you use words has a tremendous impact on the quality of your life.” For example, instead of saying: I should/ I could, it is a problem/ it is an opportunity and, if only/ next time.

Expand your comfort zone, do something that stretches you a little more everyday. “Take a risk a day- one small or bold stroke that will make you feel great once you have done it. Even if it doesn’t work out the way you wanted it to, at least you’ve tried. You didn’t sit back…..powerless.”

Good questions to ask yourself are: what are all the payoffs you get from staying stuck in your life? What are the things you don’t have to face or do?

Start acting on what it is that you really want in your life, and stop waiting for someone to give it to you.

“Given commitments, clear goals and action, it’s just a matter of time.”

Don’t be afraid to talk about your plans, in order to properly investigate, by fear that if it doesn’t work out you will look like a failure. “You’re not a failure if you don’t make it, you’re a success because you try.”

“Remember that underlying our fears is lack of trust in ourselves”.

“Security is not having things, it’s handling things.”

“So- lighten up! Whatever happens as a result of your decision, you’ll handle it!”

” When you can take responsibility for your decisions, you become a lot less angry at the world, and, most important, a lot less angry at yourself!”

Shift from being afraid of making a mistake to being afraid of not making a mistake. If you are not making any mistakes, you are not learning or growing.

“Put signs in your home and office that says IT REALLY DOESN’T MATTER to remind yourself when you are being needlessly obsessive. Also put signs in your home and office that says SO WHAT! I WILL HANDLE IT!”

“…with a positive attitude, value can be created from anything that happens in life.”

“Acknowledgment of pain is very important, denial is deadly.”

“When we don’t acknowledge our pain, it will be transferred into a bodily symptom, anger or something equally destructive.”

” We can’t control our world but we can control our reactions to it.”

” I am finding value in everything that happens to me.”

“It’s easy to give when you feel abundantly endowed, but you only feel that way when you give, not before!”

When we give from a place of love, rather than from a place of expectation, more usually comes back to us, than we could ever have imagined.”

“We need to go through many life experience before the power within is brought forward in all it’s glory.”

“Unless you use the muscles that lifts you to your higher self, it will weaken- just as your body weakens when it is not used.”

“We move into true adult status, where we have much to give this world.”

Life in my head

July 10th, 2010 · 2 Comments

It is hard to properly care for ourselves when we live in our heads

It is like we are disconnected from our bodies

And we can never find the right solution no matter how hard we try

My only hope

Is to settle in my body

And let the wisdom of my body speak to me

It is like my feet have more wisdom than my head

My feet are on the ground

And my head is where I chose to be

At any given time

It changes with the wind and with every feeling that passes through me

Enough to drive me crazy

Like a NEVER ending story

Looking ahead is harder than I thought

June 26th, 2010 · No Comments

I am just barely getting up on my own two feet

Finding my place in this world

I have never planned and looked ahead at the future

And now that I want to plan for my future and that I have dreams and goals I aspire to realize

I am no longer sure how realistic they are

Because I have yet planned or committed to any of those goals

Planning is one of the most uncomfortable and excruciating process for me

Making a plan and following through with it

Is like clipping my own wings and loosing that sense of freedom

I need to learn to love freedom in a whole new way

That is to work towards the kind of freedom that I really aspire for

The kind that you earn and become as you grow into

As oppose to this instant feeling of freedom that buys me no future

Now I see that I have been resisting moving into my life

My husband had the kindest words as I worked on this drawing

I said to him, look I can’t make it, I can’t look up and ahead

And with a kind and soothing voice, he replied;

You are doing better than you think

You are standing up

And look how solid you are on your feet already

Those words touched me and showed me that there is value in acknowledging and accepting the present

It is kindness that inspires us to keep thriving and growing…
